Sand Valley Golf Resort
Golf as it was meant to be. Sand Valley is a place where massive, exposed sand dunes tower above you. Where players walk, and where the fescue turf plays firm and fast. Voted “Best New Golf Course” in 2017 by Golf Digest.

Northern Bay Golf Resort
The Golf Course at Northern Bay is an eighteen-hole championship golf course featuring seven holes replicated from PGA Tour courses including Augusta National, TPC Sawgrass, Firestone, Oakland Hills, Oakmont, and Bay Hill. Being the only replica style golf course in the Midwest, this is a must-play for golfers of all ages and skill levels.
Roche-A-Cri State Park
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Roche-A-Cri State Park gained significance as a natural landmark along French fur trading routes, and it has archaeological importance because of the mysterious carvings that appear on the bare rock of its south face. The park is over four hundred acres including the mound, wooded areas, campsites, pavilions available for rent, and its many nature and hiking trails. The park's about eight miles from Timber Shores, with an entrance on HWY 13 just north of the town of Adams.

Castle Rock County Park
Explore this beautiful, seventy-acre park located on Castle Rock Lake, Wisconsin's fourth-largest lake. The park's open for camping and swimming. It also features a boat launch, game room, playground, and heated showers and bathrooms. The park's located just under five miles south of Timber Shores on County Road Z.

Petenwell County Park
At one-hundred and sixty acres, there's plenty of space for camping, hiking, and swimming in this beautiful park located on Petenwell Lake, Wisconsin's second-largest lake. In addition to camping and swimming areas, the park features a game room, boat launch, playground, hiking trails, and heated showers and bathrooms. Located just ten miles North of Timber Shores, this park will definitely find its way onto your must-visit list.

Van Kuren Trail
This almost three-mile year-round trail is located in western Strongs Prairie off Chicago Avenue on the shores of Lake Petenwell. It features trail markers explaining features of the trail, a shelter and fire ring near the middle of the trail, and beautiful views of wildlife including bald eagles.
Quincy Bluff and Wetlands Natural Area
Quincy Bluff and Wetlands is an over ten-thousand-acre natural area. Quincy Bluff itself rises two-hundred feet high and includes nearly two miles of wooded and open cliff areas. Lone Rock is close by and features one-hundred-foot Cambrian sandstone cliffs. This beautiful wildlife area allows hiking, turkey hunting, wildlife viewing, and more. Quincy Bluff and Wetlands is a registered DNR wildlife area (No. 272).

Boat Launches
Castle Rock Lions Park Boat Launch
Easily get your boat in and out of the water using this boat launch, located less than a quarter of a mile from the Timber Shores entrance. It's a great public boat launch with plenty of available parking.
Northern Bay Resort and Marina Boat Launch
The Northern Bay Resort and Marina Boat Launch is another excellent launch option, located just two and a half miles away from the Timber Shores entrance. You can rent boats and jet skis in addition to getting your boat in and out of the water.

Island View Restaurant at Northern Bay
A great restaurant and lounge open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have Friday night fish fry and Saturday night prime rib specials every weekend. Island View Restaurant is a wonderful place for family get-togethers or business meetings, and it's located just a mile away at Northern Bay Resort.

Spot in the Woods
This particular spot is open every day for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even later. This restaurant and bar features a large back dining room for groups, a selection of arcade games, and multiple TVs showing all the important games. The menu includes a large assortment of burgers, homemade pizzas, and more. Plus, it's only two miles from the Timber Shores entrance.

Enjoy a full-service bar with pool tables, arcade games, and more. Michael's Landing also offers a full campground, boat slips, and boat rentals. You'll find it just half a mile south of Timber Shores on County Road Z, just over the first bridge.
The Dirty Turtle - Bar, Grill and Marina
Dirty Turtle is an excellent restaurant on Castle Rock Lake for a family lunch or a night out with friends. They offer a broad menu for lunch and dinner, and lively night-time activities including DJs, a dance floor, lights, and a variety of themed parties throughout the year. Boat rentals and a charter are available. Dirty Turtle is a quick boat ride across Castle Rock Lake with docks available, or a forty-minute drive around the lake.
